Wiring diagrams
These are the basic wiring diagrams for the ballasts and other parts we offer. Each section will have information on a variety of ultraviolet lamp configurations for both uv curing and hydroponics use. These are general diagrams only. If you are unfamiliar with how to wire uv lamps or bulbs, you might want to have an electrician do the work, as we are dealing with high voltages, with the risks of injury or electrocution.

This is a good place to explain one fact about the new generation of electronic ballasts. Unlike old ballasts which had a fixed wattage, and would deliver it to the lamp no matter what size lamp you put on it, the new generation that we use are adaptive. This means the output is adjusted down automatically if you put the ballast on a 4 foot lamp instead of a 6 foot lamp. The same is true if you go from a T12 lamp to a T7 (T12 = 1.5" diameter, T8 = 1 inch). Some of our ballasts will power multiple lamp configurations, depending on how wire it, but the actual wattage will change depending on that wiring and how many lamps you use.
